Absolutely not! We never charge a fee to any of our employees for our services

Are all of your assignments for Travelers only?

The answer to that is no, we have many assignments in cities all across the U.S. the perfect one for you could be right in your area.

What are your requirements to work with AWM?
The requirements vary depending on the facility needs, however you must have a current license in your profession. Contact our recruitment team or apply on line to see the various documents and information required.

What if I do not have a professional license in the state the where the assignment is located?
We will provide you with the necessary forms and directions on how to obtain your license through the Board of Nursing in a new state and help you with the process. We will also reimburse you part of the cost involved in the process. Most states provide temporary licensure, which will allow you to work an assignment while waiting for the permanent license to be issued. There are also some states that have a quick process, which will allow you to obtain your endorsement temporary license by visiting their State Board of Nursing, in person. There are some states that do not require you obtain a license in that state if you currently have an active state license and some states are part of the Compact License program which allows you to work within any of those states without obtaining a new license. Our Concierge Desk will assist you in every way possible to make your transition of licensing as smooth as possible.

How much is the pay to work an assignment?
Salary range depends on many variables, such as facility, location, specialty, housing costs, etc. Typically, a traveling Registered Nurse or Allied Professional can expect to make anywhere from $28.00 - $45.00 per hour. *Depending on experience and facility.

  • A traveling Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse can expect to make anywhere from $18.00 - $23.00 per hour.
  • A traveling Certified Nurse Assistant can expect to make anywhere from $10.00 - $18.00 per hour.
  • A traveling Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist can expect to make anywhere from $30.00 - $49.00 per hour.

We also offer non-taxed travel and meals and incidentals reimbursement for travelors on assignment over and above the hourly compensation.

How often do you pay?
We pay on a weekly basis. We offer direct deposit and/or a pay card.

What will be the length of your assignments?
Assignments vary in length depending upon the facilities request.  We have some short term assignments (8 weeks); however, typical assignment lengths are 13 weeks. Many facilities will offer to extend assignments, and extension lengths will also vary, depending upon the need of the facility.

Do I have to sign a contract prohibiting me from working with other agencies?
Absolutely not, each assignment you chose to work with us will require that you sign a contract for that particular assignment only.

Where do you have jobs available?
We staff nationwide. We have assignments available from small rural facilities to large metropolitan area hospitals

Where do I stay when I am on Travel assignment?
We provide housing for travelers while they are on assignments, or we can provide a housing allowance if you would prefer to find your own housing. Housing facilities depend upon the length of the assignment and the accommodations available in the area at that time. Typical housing provided will be an extended stay hotel, or a one-bedroom furnished apartment.

Can I travel with friends or family?
Absolutely, there is no travel nursing requirement that limits who can travel with you. The housing we provide will be a one-bedroom type accommodation however, if additional bedrooms are needed, it will be your responsibility to pay the rental difference. Our Concierge Desk will work closely with you to make your experience the best you have ever had.

Can I travel with my pet?
In most cases yes, however there may be additional fees associated with traveling with pets. Some lodging accommodations may require a pet deposit and/or pet rent.  If this is required, it will be the traveler’s responsibility to pay it themselves. There may be pet breed or size limitations at some of the accommodations provided, again this will depend upon the housing complex regulations
